Applying for benefits
To find out whether you are entitled to social assistance benefit, contact the municipality where you live.
On the website werk.nl, you can apply for social assistance benefit or IAOW benefit (invalidity benefit for the elderly). Once you’ve done that, you can contact your municipality. They will look at your application.
After you’ve completed your registration on werk.nl and after you’ve contacted your municipality, you will be referred to us at Fijnder and we will put you in touch with one of our contact persons. You will discuss your next steps with them.
Your application will be processed within 8 weeks. But if you have any questions in the meantime, you can call your income consultant.
Pay dates and amounts
Benefits are paid on or around the 4th of each month. An overview of all payment dates can be found on the page Payment dates and amounts.
Yes, you can. You can check this on the page 'My Income'. Or you can contact Fijnder by phone.
Benefits may not have been paid because you did not submit the income form or did not return it on time. Did you hand in your income form on time, but still did not receive any benefits? Please contact your client manager.
Holiday allowance is always paid at the end of June, or whenever your benefits stop.

You will always receive your annual statement in February.
Rights and obligations
Do you receive social assistance benefit? If so, you can read more information about your rights and obligations on the page rechten en plichten bij een uitkering. Do you have a complaint, or do you disagree with a decision made by Fijnder? If so, look at the page klacht or bezwaar en hoger beroep.

Yes, always report any changes in your personal situation to Fijnder. You can do this via 'My Income' or by filling out the mutations form on the website.
Are you receiving any benefits? Then you can view information about your benefits via 'My Income', or report changes in your income. You can see your monthly benefits, your holiday allowance and the annual statements and benefit specifications there.
Via 'My Income' you can also report changes. For example, about your work or your contact details, such as: a change of address, a new telephone number or a new e-mail address.
All forms can be found on the page called 'Forms'.
Special assistance benefit
You can check this with your income consultant. It’s wise to contact your income consultant before you incur any costs.
You can apply for special assistance via the Special Assistance Application Form on our website.
An application will be processed within 8 weeks. But if you have any questions about this, you can call your income consultant.
You can apply for the participation scheme for children via the 'Special Assistance Application Form' on our website.

Who to contact
The income consultant is there for all your questions about benefits, allowances, and special assistance. The client manager is there to stimulate, motivate, guide and coach you towards participation and work. For all your questions about work, reintegration and costs that come with that, you can contact your client manager.
